Introduction

It can often seem as though Med School is all about textbooks, lectures, tutes and reduced sleep, making it hard to find the perfect study-play balance, but the truth of the matter is that there is so much more to Uni life. And the AMSS is here to help you discover these other events, publications and resources to ensure you exercise not just your academic mind, but your body and mental health too. Whilst you are the only one who knows what works for you, the list below outlines a few of the events offered by the AMSS along with a range of resouurces that have been of help to others in the past - maybe they will be of help to you too!

Your Health: in amongst the crazy that is Medical School, it's easy to forget about you and your own health and wellbeing. For some tips on how best to manage the stress of it all and details of places you can turn to, click here.

Who to Contact: if you are struggling with something, be it exams, stress, results...there's always someone who you can talk to. The AMSS has collated a list of contacts for you, available here.

Resources: a short, sharp, and shiny list of places to sing out to when you could be doing better.

If you have any questions relating to Health & Wellbeing that you can't find the answer to above or have a suggestion for another event or something to add to the list above, then please feel free to contact us at healthandwellbeing@amss.org.au.
