The AMSS values the safety and well-being of its members and firmly believes that all members and anyone who attends our events have the right to feel safe.
If you would like to report an incident you thought was inappropriate or made you feel uncomfortable or unsafe you may fill in the form below. Alternatively, you can contact any executive member directly to make a report, for example the Vice President (Communication) (vpc@amss.org.au).
Who will see my report?
- Reports will be anonymised and reviewed by the Incident Response Subcommittee of the AMSS Executive which includes the President (Huy On), Vice President (Communications) (Laura Kelly), Social Officer (Libby Chisholm), and Sponsorship Officer (Xueying Sun).
- Only these members of the Executive will know that you have made a report.
- Your name, should you choose to include this, will not be disclosed to any parties named in your report.
How will my report be handled?
- The subgroup will review the issues you have identified and with your permission one member may contact you to offer support and confidentially gather further information.
- In some circumstances, a member of the subcommittee may ask for a comment from the person(s) named in your report. This will only occur with your permission.
- The subcommittee will meet again to determine a recommendation(s) for action. This may include enhancing our event management procedures or disciplinary action against the person(s) named in your report.
- A member of the subgroup will contact you to provide you with an update of the outcome of your report.
No information pertaining to your report will be disclosed to other parties without your permission.
Do I have to include my name in the report?
We encourage you to include your name so that we are able to offer you appropriate support and fully follow up on your report, including informing you of the outcome. However if you do not feel comfortable including your name, you may submit the form anonymously.
Your name will ONLY be known by the President or Executive member to whom you have made the report.
