Our mission is to provide students with opportunities to explore the exciting and ever-evolving field of surgery. We aim to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and networks to thrive. Throughout the year, we host a variety of engaging events, including:
Practical Skills Workshops: Develop your surgical techniques with hands-on sessions tailored to all skill levels.
Specialty Information Nights: Learn from accomplished surgeons across a range of specialties and gain insight into their careers.
Research Workshops and Presentation Nights: Develop essential research skills—from study design to data analysis—and showcase your work or clinical interests to peers and professionals
Anatomy Nights: Hands-on, wet-lab (cadaveric) anatomical sessions run by clinical surgeons, offering an invaluable opportunity to deepen your understanding of human anatomy in a surgical context.

Global Surgery: AUSS is committed to supporting global surgery by hosting presentation nights with inspiring leaders in the field. From trauma surgery in war zones to innovative work in under-resourced areas, hear how surgeons are making a difference worldwide.
